"The false wind screamed in their ears as they approached the final bridge before reaching the sea shore. Sand and leaves were made to be a constant shower about them as they moved closer to the raging waters. The beginning and the end had commenced all at once. There was no safety here, yet, somehow, their refuge was as real as the stars in the night sky.

"Father," one of them spoke, "Must we press on so? Will he not find us? Is this all for nothing?" His father spoke, "It is you. It is I...who must make this change. For all those who would, are now gone."

These are the words in my opening scene of Book 1 in a series that I am writing while attending BYU Idaho. In answer to your question about what I am doing, I'm simply working because I am out of school and writing my novel in the mean time. I'm reading a book called "You Can Write a Novel" and following James Smith's instructions on where to begin in writing a novel and his process of how to organize the writing process and the amateur author's efforts. It's exciting. I'm glad not all things that are addictive are a downfall to behavior because writing my novel(s) is extremely enjoyable.

That's about it. I'm inclined to introduce myself and to ask several questions about what processes you used to write your books but, I'll save that for later when you show interest of wanting to continue communication trying to respect your time since I would guess that you are busy.

My last words are from Eleanor Roosevelt: "Believe in yourself. You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do." As an author these words describe the process of writing. Congratulations on your success Brandon. I hope to hear from you soon.

"The false wind screamed in their ears as they approached the final bridge before reaching the sea shore. The outer elements yielded a relentless shower of sand and leaves as they moved closer to the raging waters which crashed upon the shore. The beginning and the end had commenced all at once; the birth of a promising tomorrow and the death of a formidable yesterday. There was no safety here, yet, somehow, their refuge was as real as the stars in the night sky.”

The outer elements yielded a relentless shower of sand and leaves as they moved closer to the sea’s raging waters. The end and the beginning had commenced all at once; the advent of a bright tomorrow upon the canvas of dark and formidable yesterday. There was no safety here, yet, somehow, their refuge was as real as the stars in the night sky.”
