Legends of Clal

Book 1: Skyland Rising

Order of Events

A visitor tells Morgreth that ‘The One’ has been found.

The wizard’s questions manifest important details about the boy that we will learn about later.

“Where’s he from? Who are his parents? How many others know about it?

The wizard immediately embarks toward Eldan Vyum.

Clal is scene traveling to Eldan with others including Ryth.

Clal feels there is something in the air.

When he passes by ‘The Heart’ of Illia things happen to him, strange details, which peak his interest and cause him to wonder about the place.

“Ryth,” Clal whips his head to his friend, “Did you feel that? Did you hear that?” Ryth looks puzzled and cocks his head to one side. “No Clal. What did you feel?” Clal intends to answer this question of Ryth but, because of a level of embarrassment that is enough, he decides instead to say, “No. It was nothing.”

With the boys on the trip with him a discussion about “The One” begins which cause some curiosity.

There are negative words as well such as “My father said that ‘The One’ doesn’t exist. It’s just a lot of traditional folk lore that the Kingdom of Vyum has held on to.” And “Why do we have to be taken away from our fun just to fulfill the desires of a crummy king?”

Clal begins to make some assumptions, draw some conclusions, and feels a feeling that begins to guide him a bit.

They get to the Eldan Vyum and settle in for the night.

(First sign of Hittle)

Next day, Clal is examined. “The One” is named.

More signs of disbelievers

Clal’s world now begins change, he states that he is not ‘the one’, he can’t be.

He seeks for comfort from his brother, but finds none because he is jealous and because he has to embark toward home.

The feast occurs and he meets Morgreth

The counsel occurs and Clal is still in amazement

Clal’s assistants are chosen.

King Emish as enemy is established

Clal bursts out with question after question, cognitioning straight from his amygdale, emotional.

This sets up King Emish’s resolve as he hears some weak points in Clal’s very thought processes.

Morgreth handles a few questions then asks him to save them for later.

Morgreth shows him the High Chamber and answers his every question

This wizard instills within Clal a belief in himself, in the plan, and in his fate.

(Hittle is accepted as companion)

Based on the contents of the High Chamber, Clal is able to figure out his next step

The Rishk enter the scene as the next chapter is devoted to King Emish’s betrayal to this wicked band.

They speak of only a glimpse into their plans.

A hint of Womlon is portrayed.

A definition of their next move caps off the chapter.

Clal is next scene traveling with Ryth and Hittle in the forest.

(This is beginning to sound just like Lord of the Rings. JOSH, CHANGE THIS!!!)

Clal’s travels lead him to a few of the historical land marks of Illia, (Pale Forest, Arches of Amnber, Heart of Illia, etc.)

Clal figures out which Magicon he must search out.

Clal arrives at the Island Ring

He wonders how he’ll figure this out

As will be the pattern within the Legends of Clal, his inner power will propel the story forward. After Clal says or does something to activate his powers, the wind picks him up and brings him to Edaphlas.

Clal travels upon this floating island and finds the entrance to the kingdom gates

The great ice city is before him, he meets the king and queen

They are reluctant to give him the f’element because its virtue is song and they will lose the virtue of this sacred stone. (Complication). For a moment, it appears hopeless.

However, the king and queen show him to the dragon.

They also show Clal to Larkin and Skyla who are given to Clal as companions.

Sedrak, the great and ancient dragon, arrives upon the scene never to be lessened in importance again.

Sedrak takes Clal up very high on his back. Because of the height of Edaphlas and because of the altitude that the dragon takes him Clal is introduced to the land called Hanon. Sedrak explains more about this place and plants some foreshadowing and seeds regarding this place. (Wonderful way of turning up the curiosity)

There are enemies among the people of Edaphlas.

It becomes extremely difficult for Clal to obtain the f’element.

Sedrak helps Clal find a way to get the f’element.

Larkin and Skyla aid in this attempt.

Lady Wind emerges and tells Clal of the lesson that he’s supposed to learn from the f’element.

Then Krothwing emerges after this interview with Illia concludes

The battle is sore and Clal is weak against such might. The plan to kill Clal is evident and the moments slip by counting down his last moments

Clal is “The One” and possesses power beyond Krothwing’s abilities. With the f’element in hand as a weapon he uses its virtue to carve out a second fate for Krothwing as he is subdued and gives in to Clal’s power. He leaves with a death wish upon his lips.

The companions climb aboard Sedrak and begin to sail home.

They arrive at the Dawning of Time place.

Wonder of this place rests upon all of them.

Clal studies the room, places the f’element in its place, and turns to study the mural which depicts the path he should take in the second book.

Sedrak asks about Morgreth who then departs in a flight pattern towards Morgreth’s home.

Finally, the decision is to be made to where the heroes will go now, (home, Sedrak takes them, to the castle, to a friend’s place to find refuge.) How will the story’s ending end?
