The Four Waters

A fountain with four channels: north, east, south and west. Flowing out, the earth gives to its people. In Book 5 the waters flow back in as the continent sails home.

Top-down plan of the fountain: a square at the center, four water channels running north, east, south and west, brown rays from each corner to a small hub.

The Four Waters: references

four-waters-fountain.svg is a redraw of Josh's original top-down fountain diagram (pasted into a Claude Code session on 2026-10-23), made because the original image file was not on disk. It is a faithful layout redraw, not the original.

What it shows: a square fountain with four channels running out to N, E, S and W (the four waters), brown rays from the four corners into a central hub with a circle and four clusters of rock. Labels: W E N S above the north channel, then N, E, S, W at each channel.

Goes with: the "Myths, Legends, and Symbolisms" section of ../../foundations/world-of-clal-foundations-2007-10-10.md. Flowing out means the earth giving to the inhabitants. In Book 5 the waters flow inward and back into the fountain as the continent sails home.
